The venue

The celebration will take place at Pazo de Vista Alegre, an 18th-century architectural gem on the banks of the Ulla river, lovingly restored by the Luna Castro family.

A bit of history

This manor has a fascinating history. It was home to Eduardo Gasset y Artime, founder of the newspaper El Imparcial in 1867, which transformed Spanish journalism and became a defender of liberal principles. Eduardo was the uncle of the renowned philosopher José Ortega y Gasset. The manor passed through generations of the Gasset-Neyra family, and in its literary supplement 'Los Lunes' wrote figures such as Nobel Prize winners José Echegaray and Jacinto Benavente, Emilia Pardo Bazán, and Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer himself. After years of abandonment, the Luna Castro family restored the manor to its original splendor.
